FinAgEng association was established 1969 as the national forum for experts working in the field of agricultural engineering in Finland.

Originally, the association was named CIGR Finland, but later the name was changed to reflect the restructured organization in Europe. Today, FinAgEng is a national member organization of EurAgEng, which is a member organization in international CIGR.
